Take your Modern Standard Arabic further: shade your meaning (جِدًّا، قَلِيلًا، كَثِيرًا، دَائِمًا، أَبَدًا), link your ideas (لِأَنَّ، لِذٰلِكَ، لٰكِنَّ، ثُمَّ، عِنْدَمَا، بَيْنَمَا) and tell a story in the past: past habits with كَانَ (كُنْتُ أَلْعَبُ) and negation with لَمْ and مَا.
